December brings the Cold Moon and the Winter Solstice. While Nature appears to be dead and lifeless, looks can be deceiving. Deep beneath the surface are themes of rest, renewal, and hope. December’s Cold Moon spiritual meaning corresponds with Nature’s dormant energy. It’s a time for introspection and soul-searching, a chance to recharge and reconnect. This is a magical season full of transformation and deep internal work.
Before the sound meditation, we take some time checking in with ourselves and each other, co-creating altar space and setting our intentions. Feel free to bring elements to add to our altar. Fresh flowers, feathers, stones, candles or whatever else you feel called to bring. Be creative! Paper, pens will be provided for you to write your intentions on.
During the sound meditation, we will journey into a meditative state with guided imagery, harmonic light language singing and toning, as well as an array of singing bowls, tuning forks and other sound healing instruments. There will be time after the sound meditation to try out the instruments for yourself.
Dress comfortably, bring a mat, pillow and/or blanket -- what ever you need to make yourself extra cozy during the meditation. Light refreshments will be served. Feel free to bring a snack to share.
